The Dixie Boys baseball returns to Opelika, Alabama’s Westridge Baseball Complex. Rain came in around 4 pm on the first day. Games and Opening ceremony were canceled. Games will start at 9 am on the 26th. Hope to see you there.

Freed-Hardeman Wins NAIA 2024Trophy
Had a chance to view the NAIA trophy that Freed-Hardeman won in NAIA Action. Freed-Hardeman defeated the Langston University Lions of Oklahoma 71-67 for the championship victory. Congratulations!
OHS Trey White Signs with SUSCC
Opelika High School, Trey White signs a Cross Country scholarship with Southern Union Community College. Southern Union is in their first year having a XC team. The team coach is Coach Markita James-Smith. Even though SUSCC will not host any meets this year, they are looking forward to success on the road.
Sports World Lost a Great Coach
On Monday, 5/4/20, the sports world lost a legion, Don Shula, a Hall of Fame NFL who led the Miami Dolphins to two Super Bowl titles but most of all, he is the only NFL coach to have a perfect season at 17-0. He was 90. (1930-2020)
