As spring training begins at Opelika High School, there have been a number of changes. First a new score board was installed since the other had reached end of life and parts were hard to find or non existent. Second, was new turf for indoor field and stadium. Last but not least was a new Coach taking the field. Coach Bryan Moore will be heading up the Dawgs this year. Coach Moore, a Valley native and graduate of Springwood School and Auburn University, is a former Opelika assistant. He originally joined the Bulldog staff in 2007 and spent eight years there, the last four as offensive coordinator. In 2015, he took his first head coaching job at Eufaula, AL. Next, he spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons at Jasper and then spent four years at Hartselle, AL. At Hartselle, Coach Moore went 38-9 and made the playoffs each season. His overall head coaching record in nine years is 86-21. Welcome back Coach Bryan Moore to Dawg country. Pictured with Coach Bryan Moore is Coach Spence McCracken. May 2, 2024
